Slope School is hiring a PianoLabGuideto lead small-grouppianoclasses for elementary students at our Provo campus.
This role is ideal for someone with piano teaching experience who enjoys working with children and is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing a classroom. Alongside teaching, you'll help oversee the day-to-day operations of the piano program, including scheduling, billing, recital planning, and family communication.
About the Role
You will:
- Lead grouppianoclasses usingPianoMarveland our established curriculum
- Support students as they learn at their own pace
- Prepare students for recitals and performances
- Maintain an organized, welcomingpianolab
- Coordinate scheduling, billing, communication, and other program administration
- Work closely with school leadership and classroomguides
- Look for ways to improve and grow thepianoprogram over time
This is not a traditional privatepianoteaching position. Success in this role depends as much on classroom management, organization, and communication as it does on musical ability. We're looking for someone who treats the program like it's their ownsomeone who notices problems, takes initiative, and is always thinking about how to make the experience better for students and families.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previouspianoteaching experience
- Has strongpianoskills and a good understanding of music theory
- Experience withPianoMarvelis preferred
- Enjoys working with elementary-aged children
- Is reliable, organized, and proactive
- Can confidently manage a group of students
- Communicates well with families and colleagues
- Is comfortable using technology and handling basic administrative tasks
- Takes ownership and enjoys building systems and improving how things work
