Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a full-time, contract position in a K-12 school setting located near Cleveland, OH. This role involves managing a self-contained classroom for students with moderate to severe disabilities and is a backfill position starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Manage a self-contained classroom environment that addresses diverse learning needs.
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) tailored to student goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to promote student progress.
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with relevant educational regulations.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential.
- Experience working in K-12 settings with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Proven ability managing self-contained classrooms.
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies for diverse learners.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
