Job DescriptionPosition Overview: RN First Assistant

This role is for a Registered Nurse First Assistant, focusing on providing perioperative care and supporting surgical procedures. Candidates must hold an active RN license, possess experience in perioperative nursing, and have certifications such as BLS and ACLS. Preference will be given to those with CNOR or RN-First Assistant certifications. Key responsibilities include managing patient care, ensuring confidentiality, and complying with both professional and organizational standards.

Utilizing the nursing process, you will deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining accountability for the care provided to your assigned patients. You will assess the effectiveness of care delivered by other caregivers and collaborate with various departments to coordinate patient care. Upholding patient rights and confidentiality is paramount, and all duties should align with our mission, values, and service standards.

Position Details:

Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Licensure: Active RN license in the relevant state.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in perioperative nursing is required.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications must be obtained within the first year.
Other: Ongoing competence in assisting and perioperative nursing is essential.
Preferred: CNOR certification and/or completion of an RN-First Assistant certification program is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing and walking are required during each shift.
  • Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job responsibilities.
