Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role requires a highly skilled individual with a strong background in accounting processes and financial management. The ideal candidate should be prepared to take ownership of accounts receivable duties and other key accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee month-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.
• Prepare and post journal entries to reflect accurate financial data.
• Conduct account reconciliations to verify balances and identify discrepancies.
• Perform bank reconciliations to confirm transactions and resolve variances.
• Manage accounts receivable tasks, including tracking invoices and payments.
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting procedures and workflows.
• Generate financial reports to support decision-making and compliance.
• Provide insights on financial trends and ensure adherence to accounting standards.• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience.
• Strong expertise in month-end close activities and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately.
• Solid understanding of accounts receivable processes and best practices.
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
