Your Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Two to three years of college-level courses or an Associate's Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • An Occupational Therapist Assistant License.
  • Less than one year of experience in Occupational Therapy.

Your Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will:

  • Implement treatment programs to enhance physical, psycho-social, or developmental function and promote independence in daily activities.
  • Modify treatment procedures based on patient progress, following the Occupational Therapist's treatment plan.
  • Arrange for adaptive equipment and splints to support patient independence.
  • Educate patients and families on home programs and preventive measures.
  • Prepare timely written documentation as required by the profession and department.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain departmental policies, quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Participate in educational programs, in-services, and special project teams.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.
