A provider of personal accident, travel and professional liability insurance is seeking an Executive Vice President, Insurance Operations. The Executive Vice President, Insurance Operations will lead the evolution and growth of the organization’s global insurance enterprise as a key member of the executive leadership team. This leader will shape and execute the insurance strategy, driving revenue growth across North America while expanding international programs and strengthening critical carrier and partner relationships. In addition, this executive will influence enterprise priorities, guide operational excellence across underwriting, claims and compliance functions, and ensure the organization’s insurance platforms are scalable for future growth. Acting as a senior ambassador, the EVP will engage with regulators, industry partners, and global stakeholders to expand market presence and support brand impact. This is a retained search.
Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth and Market Expansion - Leads the development and execution of the organization’s insurance growth strategy while advancing international expansion. Identifies emerging opportunities across specialty, affinity, and global insurance markets, including new product development, distribution partnerships, and market entry initiatives that support long-term revenue growth.

Insurance Operations and Program Performance - Provides executive oversight of underwriting coordination, claims strategy, compliance alignment and overall program performance. Ensures scalability, efficiency, and consistency across domestic and international insurance platforms, including distribution, customer service and third-party administrator relationships.

Carrier and Partner Relationship Management - Manages and strengthens relationships with carriers, reinsurers, captive insurance entities and strategic partners to optimize product offerings, financial performance and global program delivery. Develops new partnerships that enable geographic expansion and product consistency across regions.

Enterprise Leadership and Financial Stewardship - Contributes to enterprise strategy, planning and organizational transformation as a member of the executive leadership team. Aligns insurance initiatives with broader brand, financial and operational priorities while supporting Board-level planning and ensuring insurance program performance supports organizational sustainability.

Governance, Risk and Market Representation - Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and best practices in partnership with compliance, finance and legal leadership. Represents the organization’s insurance capabilities with regulators, industry stakeholders and global partners while supporting internal controls, transparency and performance accountability.
Requirements:

8+ years of senior executive leadership in commercial property and casualty insurance, with a focus on accident and health, trip/travel, and professional liability, demonstrating a track record of driving revenue growth, market expansion and enterprise-scale initiatives

Deep expertise in insurance program administration, including underwriting, claims, distribution, customer service, compliance and risk management

Extensive experience leading complex, multi-entity organizations and cross-functional teams, fostering high-performing, mission-driven work environments

Experience with international insurance programs, global distribution models, captive structures, specialty or affinity programs, and managing carrier and reinsurer relationships

Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree (MBA, JD, or equivalent) (preferred); relevant insurance or risk management designations are a plus
