Job Description – Human Resources Generalist
7:45am - 4:45pm Monday- Friday
General Purpose
To effectively manage the human resources of our organization- optimizing productivity, profitability, and employee satisfaction
Main Job Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
- prepare weekly payroll, terminations, child support pay outs
- employee appreciation contribution / interaction
- keeping inventory and ordering clothing (gloves, hats, vests)
- handling/exchanging cash for employee change
- manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding of warehouse staff
- ensure forklift training and development needs for the warehouse are up to date
- develop and implement human resources policies and procedures
- administer compensation and benefits for the warehouse staff
- ensure and maintain compensation and benefits are in line with company policies and guidelines
- partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
- support employee discipline processes
- maintain and secure the human resource information system and
employee database - coordinate employee safety, welfare, and wellness alongside management
- maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions in compliance local, state, and federal regulations
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- bilingual in English and Spanish
- generalist human resources experience is needed
- knowledge of the principles and practices of HR management
- respect of the business’ core values
- knowledge of relevant compliance in insurance and law regulations
- knowledge of relevant software: Microsoft 365
- knowledge of E-verify (producing I-9), ADP Select, Drug Screening, ADP Workforce Now
