Incoming Inspection Technician | Norton Shores, MI
Salary Range: $46,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials and components.
- Verify received materials against purchase orders, blueprints, and quality specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
- Document inspection results accurately in the quality management system.
- Initiate and process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected materials.
- Maintain organized records of all incoming inspection activities and material traceability.
- Segregate and label accepted and rejected materials according to established procedures.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Foundational understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with quality control principles, sampling plans, and non-conformance procedures.
- Basic computer skills for data entry, record keeping, and report generation.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with an ERP/MRP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, molding, electronics assembly)
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles
- Ability to interpret and apply advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
