A healthcare facility in Chicago, IL is seeking a Night Pharmacist for a 13+ week contract to support their pediatric hospital during night shifts. This role offers a 7-on, 7-off schedule from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, ideal for pharmacists experienced in hospital settings who are comfortable working overnight hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmacy services during the night shift, including medication verification and dispensing
- Ensure accurate, weight-based dosing for pediatric patients
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy
- Utilize EPIC and Omnicell systems to manage medication orders and inventory
- Maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Illinois Pharmacist license
- Strong hospital pharmacy experience
- Pediatric experience, especially in weight-based dosing for children
- Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell pharmacy IT systems preferred
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
