We paired our dealership with used equipment and a wide array of attachments to serve the construction, utility, mining, energy, and agricultural industries. The Marketing Manager is both a strategic leader and hands-on contributor, managing the marketing department while actively executing initiatives that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and lead generation. This role supports the growth of the business by guiding the marketing strategy, mentoring a small team, and rolling up their sleeves to produce impactful campaigns, visuals, and digital content. The ideal candidate is a proactive and creative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, industrial environment, with strong skills in digital marketing, graphic design, advertising, and sales alignment.
Requirements:
Department Strategy and Operations
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business goals, sales objectives, customer insights, and market trends
- Lead the creation and management of a company-wide marketing calendar that integrates product support, sales events, rentals, trade shows, and customer communications
- Define clear KPIs and SMART objectives to measure campaign and team success, and adjust efforts based on performance analytics
- Oversee daily operations of the marketing team, managing priorities, workflow, and resource allocation while promoting creativity and accountability
- Ownership of the marketing budget and co-op funds, ensuring high ROI and alignment with OEM programs (e.g., SANY America)
- Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and professional development to direct reports while supporting a performance-oriented, collaborative culture
- Support executive leadership with performance reporting, crisis communications, and marketing strategy presentations
Hands-On Execution & Individual Contribution
- Design & Visual Content: Create, revise, and polish marketing materials such as social media graphics, web banners, fliers, apparel, email layouts, and print ads using Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent
- Social media & Content Marketing: Develop and schedule social media posts across key platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube) with a blend of branding, product highlights, and team culture content. Engage directly with followers and monitor performance
- Ad Management: Build and manage paid ad campaigns across Google, Facebook, YouTube, Machinery Trader, and other industry-specific platforms. Optimize for conversions and cost-per-lead
- Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the sales team to craft presentations, landing pages, product brochures, case studies, and promotional materials that support the buyer journey
- Website & SEO: Own website development in collaboration with internal/external teams. Implement SEO strategies to increase visibility, update product pages, and create conversion-friendly landing pages
- Video & Photography: Capture or coordinate photography and videography for equipment, events, and branding initiatives. Edit media assets for use across marketing channels
- Event Execution: Lead the planning and execution of internal and external events, including tradeshows, open houses, customer appreciation events, and NT-hosted gatherings
- Apparel & Branding: Manage branding guidelines, company apparel programs, decal standards, and swag items—from design concept to inventory and fulfillment
- Email Marketing: Build and send targeted email campaigns using HubSpot or similar tools, aligned to lead nurturing and customer retention goals
- Stay up-to-date with marketing trends and technologies, including AI tools, video marketing, influencer partnerships, and reputation management
- Regularly benchmark against competitors and explore new channels or tools to increase reach and impact
CRM, Integrations & Automation
- Act as the marketing-side administrator for HubSpot or equivalent CRM system—creating workflows, forms, email templates, campaign tagging, and performance dashboards
- Drive marketing automation initiatives to improve lead nurturing, retention, and customer lifecycle marketing
- Partner with IT and Sales Ops to ensure CRM and martech tools are effectively integrated and aligned with business objectives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders from sales, product support, HR, and leadership to ensure alignment across marketing campaigns and priorities
- Support HR with employer branding, recruitment marketing, and internal communications efforts
- Participate in new product launches, fleet promotions, and special offers by aligning marketing assets and messaging
- Coordinate with finance on co-op tracking, spend justification, and marketing-related purchasing
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
- Proven track record of hands-on execution in digital marketing, content creation, and campaign management
- Experience working in or supporting industrial, B2B, or dealership-based organizations strongly preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for hands-on design work
- Deep understanding of digital marketing platforms and tools, including:
- CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Social media management tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite)
- Google Ads & Analytics
- Email marketing platforms
- CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Sanity)
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting and presentations
Strategic & Analytical Abilities
- Ability to develop strategic marketing plans while executing high-impact campaigns
- Skilled in interpreting marketing data and performance analytics to guide decision-making
- Experience managing a budget and optimizing spend across channels
Interpersonal & Leadership Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with small teams and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills (Bonus)
- Experience in working in video production environments
- Familiarity with AI marketing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Canva AI)
- Knowledge of the heavy equipment, construction, or industrial sales sectors
