Job Title: Tool & Die Maker
Pay: 72,800K ($35 per hour)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Tech to construct and maintain new and existing tooling and dies. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings to design jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts. You will also be responsible for measuring and marking metal stock for machining, setting up machine tools, cutting and shaping blocks to specified dimensions, and fitting and assembling tools and die parts. Your expertise will be crucial in inspecting finished dies and tools for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities.
Responsibilities
- Construct and maintain new and existing tooling and dies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings.
- Design jigs and templates as work aids in fabrication.
- Measure and mark metal stock for machining.
- Set up machine tools such as presses, lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
- Cut and shape blocks to specified dimensions.
- Fit and assemble tools and die parts.
- Inspect finished dies and tools for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities.
- Perform test runs with completed tools and dies.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in tool and die making and maintenance.
- Experience with AutoCAD and CAD drawings.
- Skill in using micrometers, calipers, and gages.
- Knowledge of metalworking tools including drills, milling machines, and grinders.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.
- Vocational or technical degree in a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of aluminum and metal coil fabrication.
- Experience in fabrication of parts.
Work Environment
Work at a premier manufacturing company based in Gardena, California, with over industry specific machines. This is a hands-on job requiring time spent in the Tool Room, following the guidance of the Engineering lead. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 6 am to 2:30 pm. Direct hire position!

The pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $62000.00/yr.
