Join the Nalley Consulting team as a Civil/Industrial Engineer.

Position: Civil/Industrial EngineerLCAT: Mid Location: JBAB, Washington, DC

Clearance requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to take CI polygraph
Required education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field such as chemical, civil/industrial, electrical, mechanical, etc.
Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with defense industries.
  • Ability to develop high-quality deliverables tailored to senior policymakers or defense stakeholders, including complex written products.
  • Knowledge of the IC and Combatant Command environment.

Description:

  • Supports defense analytical requirements with enhanced scientific / engineering research, capability / limitation analysis, reverse engineering analysis / characterizations, facility and vulnerability assessments.
  • This includes, but not limited to civil / industrial engineering and subdisciplines
    of environmental, power system, pipeline, petroleum, structural, manufacturing,
    geotechnical, transportation, highway, material science, seismic / earthquake, construction, hydrology, and water resource engineering.
  • Collaboratively integrates analytic results findings or production with other related analytic efforts and assessments.
  • Supports defense analytical requirements with enhanced scientific/engineering research, capability / limitation analysis, reverse engineering analysis / characterizations, facility and vulnerability assessments.

Analytic production includes, but not limited to:

  • Chemical engineering and sub-disciplines of bio-molecular, materials, and molecular engineering.
  • Civil/Industrial Engineering and sub-disciplines of environmental, power system, pipeline, petroleum, structural, manufacturing, geotechnical, transportation, highway, material science, seismic / earthquake, construction, hydrology, and water resource engineering.
  • Electrical Engineering consisting but not limited to complex foreign electronic systems, subsystems, facilities and/ or equipment and can emphasize one or more area(s) pertaining to electric power, microelectronics, electronic hardware, circuits, sensors, guidance and control, signals, electromagnetic, electro-optical (EO) / infrared (IR) and/ or similar areas associated with current and projected electronic systems and / or subsystems.
  • Mechanical Engineering and sub-disciplines of acoustical engineering, manufacturing, fluid dynamics, physics, power engineering, and finite element analysis.

Additional duties:

  • Research, analyze, and evaluate classified and open-source intelligence; identify intelligence gaps and submit collection requirements.
  • Make detailed all-source assessments and prepare quality intelligence products on complex foreign industries issues.
  • Assess foreign capabilities, deficiencies, and vulnerabilities of defense industries to ascertain how they impact military industrial potential, on the national economy, and on material feedstock in weapon systems and military equipment.
  • Identify and map associated industrial organizations and supplier networks and analyze industrial management systems and key industrial personalities.
  • Maintain, monitor and assure the quality of databases (MIDB/MARS) describing military industrial facilities, programs and networks.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments of individual industrial facilities.
  • Coordinate with S&T laboratories to enhance knowledge base.
  • Consult with customers, management, and/or senior analysts to anticipate requirements and optimize production in response to customer requirements.
  • Work with other Division intelligence analysts on chemical industry issues.
