Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center serves as the comprehensive hospital for East County, continually evolving to address the community's expanding needs. Our services include advanced imaging, a state-of-the-art emergency department, a welcoming family birth center, surgical services, intensive care, cancer care, gastroenterology, and more.
Key Responsibilities
The registered nurse will be accountable for patient care within a designated department or unit. They will collaborate as a member of the healthcare team under the guidance of the clinical manager or their designee, adhering to the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses. The RN Staff Nurse will assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established standards for our health system, including those related to patient assessment and transfer.
Qualifications
Education:
As mandated by licensure requirements. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a degree in progress is strongly preferred. A BSN may be necessary for certain assignments; however, experienced RNs without a BSN may be considered based on clinical experience with the approval of the site Chief Nursing Officer.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of registered nursing experience is required, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or an equivalent nursing program in terms of content, curriculum, and duration. Additional clinical experience requirements may differ based on the specific department where the position is located.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Proven ability to maintain positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Proficiency in keyboard skills and the ability to navigate electronic systems relevant to job functions.
Licensure
- Current applicable state RN license is required.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is necessary.
Compensation
Pay range: USD $54.37 - USD $81.21 per hour.
