Total Fire Protection is expanding rapidly, presenting an exciting and challenging opportunity to bring your fresh ideas, polished expertise, and collaborative attitude to support our growth. The Inside Sales Representative at our Woodbury, NY location will be key in the development and expansion of services amongst our client base. You will be the first point of contact for potential customers, responsible for understanding their needs, providing product and service information, and converting inquiries into sales. You will report directly to the Sales Manager and collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless customer experience.
Compensation: base salary + commission + benefits
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand Total Fire Protection’s strategy, business and growth initiatives. Develop sales opportunities submitted through company website, marketing campaigns and incoming phone leads
- Build customer relationships by executing minimum daily outreach via phone and/or email
- Handle all inbound inquiries to address relevant customer service concerns and pivot for sales opportunities
- Update and maintain the database of assigned customers
- Use CRM software to log all interactions, manage customer data, and track sales activities
- Understand customer needs and requirements, solicitate business, prepare and send quotations
- Retain and upsell customer base
- Close sales and achieve quarterly/annual sales quotas
- Full customer service accountability
- Track sales leader from the marketing group, provide weekly report out and attend sales and marketing review meetings
- Collaborate with the Sales Support team to recover lost business
- Collaborating with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of leads to opportunities
- Assist as needed in A/R responsibility to keep account base within terms
- Assist with other sales-related tasks and projects assigned by Sales and Operations Leadership
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum (2) years of experience in an inside sales or customer service role.
- Exceptional planning, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Superior diplomacy and tact when dealing with customers.
- Strong phone presence and experience
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to detect customer needs and clearly present key benefits of doing business with Total Fire Protection
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software is preferred.
- Career-oriented with outstanding leadership skills
- The ability to create a positive buying experience
