CNC Machinist | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $50,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes) according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code.
- Load, inspect, and adjust tooling, workholding, and part programs.
- Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine or program alarms and issues.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work environment.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for machine programming and operation.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
- Ability to perform quality checks, troubleshoot machining issues, and make necessary adjustments.
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM).
- Experience performing minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of advanced metrology and quality control processes beyond basic inspection.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
