Job Summary
A healthcare facility is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a Pediatric Bio-Behavioral Unit. This role involves providing compassionate, safe, and structured nursing care to pediatric patients with behavioral and psychiatric needs. The ideal candidate will have prior psychiatric experience and a strong interest in pediatric behavioral health.
Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in a bio-behavioral/psychiatric setting

Monitor patient behavior, safety, and emotional well-being

Assist with activities of daily living and therapeutic interventions

Administer medications and document care in accordance with policies and standards

Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams

Support a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment

Comply with facility protocols, patient safety standards, and documentation requirements

Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (State of New York or eligible)

Psychiatric experience required

Pediatric experience preferred

Strong communication, observation, and teamwork skills

Ability to work assigned weekends and holidays
