The Security Cooperation and Engagement Support Specialist provides analytical, administrative, and coordination support to Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) G-3/5/7 in support of Army Security Cooperation (SC), partner engagement, and senior leader engagement activities. This role supports a wide range of bilateral and multinational programs, engagements, conferences, and exercises involving U.S. allies and partner nations. The position requires the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced headquarters environment, support senior military and civilian leaders, and produce high-quality written products in support of strategic planning, engagement execution, and policy coordination. The Security Cooperation and Engagement Support Specialist plays a critical role in enabling the Army’s global engagement mission by ensuring senior leaders are well prepared, engagements are effectively coordinated, and security cooperation activities are executed with professionalism, accuracy, and continuity.

Key Responsibilities


· Support Army Security Cooperation and partner engagement activities, including Army Staff Talks (AST), multinational programs, senior leader engagements, and international conferences

· Draft, edit, and compile talking points, country profiles, biographies, read-ahead materials, engagement summaries, and executive briefings

· Prepare written summaries, after-action reports, and engagement assessments following meetings, events, and visits

· Provide administrative and logistical coordination for meetings, conferences, and engagements, including scheduling, travel coordination, transportation, facilities, and event support

· Review, process, and track Defense Travel System (DTS) requests and supporting documentation

· Coordinate meetings, VTCs, and working groups; manage calendars and engagement schedules

· Escort visitors and facilitate access to the Pentagon or other DoD facilities as required

· Maintain and update SharePoint sites, tracking tools, engagement databases, and task management products

· Represent HQDA G-3/5/7 equities in meetings, operational planning teams (OPTs), and working groups as directed

· Draft, review, and staff official memorandums, EXORDs, responses to RFIs, and other staff actions

· Conduct research and analysis to support security cooperation assessments, engagement planning, and program effectiveness

· Monitor regional current events, partner nation developments, and relevant policy updates to inform engagement planning

· Support coordination with DoD, interagency, Combatant Commands, Army Commands, and partner nation representatives

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Security Studies, Political Science, Regional Studies, or a related field
3–5 years of relevant experience supporting security cooperation, international engagement, policy analysis, or headquarters-level operations

· Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, executive-level written products

· Experience providing administrative and analytical support in a DoD or federal headquarters environment

· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities with minimal supervision

· Strong interpersonal skills and professional judgment when supporting senior leaders and external partners

· Active SECRET security clearance


Preferred Qualifications

· Experience supporting Army, Joint Staff, OSD, or Combatant Command organizations

· Familiarity with Army Security Cooperation, multinational engagement programs, or international military relations

· Experience with DTS, conference planning, or senior leader engagement support

· Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with Access, Visio, or Project a plus

· Prior CONUS and/or OCONUS engagement or travel support experience
