Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support students success as an Instructional Aide in a flexible, school-based role located in La Canada Flintridge, CA. This per diem, as-needed position offers compassionate professionals the opportunity to provide 1:1 and small-group assistance to students in classroom settings, helping them thrive academically, behaviorally, and socially.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
• Provide 1:1 or small-group academic and behavioral support under teacher direction
• Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
• TB test and required clearances completed or willingness to obtain prior to start

Preferred Experience

• Previous work in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Certification or training such as CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus but not required
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented approach
