Join a dynamic steel processing environment where you will collaborate with production staff to stage and move large coils of steel for galvanizing and zinc plating processes. As a Material Handler, you will support the slitter, pickling, or galvanizing lines, handling tasks such as unloading trucks with coil and loading the production lines. This long-term opportunity offers significant growth potential, with many employees advancing to operator roles.
Responsibilities
- Stage and move large coils of steel for production processes.
- Support slitter, pickling, and galvanizing lines.
- Unload trucks and load production lines with coils.
- Operate a forklift and overhead crane regularly.
- Adhere to safety standards and participate in necessary training.
- 3rd shift from midnight to 8:00 AM, Monday to Friday with consistent OT
- Initial training provided during the first shift.
Essential Skills
- Experience in steel, construction, roofing, or similar environments.
- Proficiency in operating an overhead crane using a handheld remote.
- Ability to move materials using a forklift.
- Possession of steel-toed boots.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with heavy machinery.
- Background in farming.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.00/hr.
