Our client, a growing organization in Frederick, MD, is seeking a detail-oriented Office Assistant to support daily administrative operations with a strong focus on light accounting and record-keeping support on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and helping keep office and financial processes running smoothly.
This position serves as a key support resource for day-to-day office coordination, financial tracking, and administrative functions across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries professionally
- Manage calendars, appointments, and meeting schedules
- Perform general administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and document organization
- Assist with invoicing, expense tracking, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Support basic accounting activities such as organizing receipts, updating billing records, and reconciling simple reports
- Maintain organized digital and paper files related to operations and finances
- Order office supplies and support day-to-day office functionality
- Provide administrative and clerical assistance to leadership and internal teams as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in an office support, administrative, or assistant role
- Comfort working with basic financial information, invoices, and records
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling numbers and documentation
- Proficiency with email and standard office software (Microsoft Office or similar)
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to bookkeeping, accounting support, or billing processes
- Experience assisting with invoicing, expense reports, or financial documentation
- Background supporting a small business or operations-focused office

Pay Details: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
