The Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist. We serve as a training site for Cardiology fellowships and Internal Medicine residency rotations, collaborating on VA-led research initiatives with the University of Arizona and Dignity Health. Our advanced research facilities include the Million Veterans Program, an innovative study aimed at enhancing Veteran care and advancing medical knowledge. Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: Competitive pay, along with an annual performance bonus and regular salary increments.
- Paid Time Off: Enjoy 50-55 days of paid time off annually, which includes 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potentially 5 days for Continuing Medical Education (CME).

Employment Requirements:
- Must possess a Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited medical or osteopathic institution.
- Licensure: Hold a full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory, maintaining it as current and active.
- U.S. Citizenship is required; non-citizens may only be considered if qualified citizens cannot be recruited, in accordance with VA policy.
- Subject to a background and security investigation.

** The Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) is available for this position, offering student loan repayment. Eligibility requirements must be met according to VHA policy, and applications should be submitted within four months of starting. Approval, award amounts (up to $200,000), and eligibility periods (ranging from one to five years) will be determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after a thorough review of the application. Previous participants are not eligible to reapply for the EDRP incentive.
