$70,000.00 - $87,700 per year depending on experience
Summary
This position will be responsible for managing the recovery of assets as well as the liquidation of assets in a timely and efficient manner while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Your expertise will play a critical role in minimizing losses and enhancing the overall performance of our asset recovery operations.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for repossession operations, ensuring adherence to legal regulations and company standards.
- Manage and oversee the repossession and liquidation processes, as well as bankruptcy processes striving to get the quickest and most advantageous outcome possible for each account.
- Analyze repossession data and metrics to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities of improvement.
- Collaborate with legal to develop and implement appropriate collections strategies and to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws governing repossession and bankruptcy activities.
- Maintain relationships with external vendors, including towing companies and auction houses, to facilitate efficient asset recovery.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, detailing performance metrics and strategic recommendations.
- Oversee, supervise, and motivate the Bankruptcy Specialist, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Identify and manage accounts requiring legal action, including those involving bankruptcy or other complex legal issues.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for legal proceedings, including court filings and motions.
- Management of direct reports includes disciplinary actions, performance reviews, conducting interviews for open positions and performance accountability.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree in business or finance is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in repossession management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of repossession and remarketing laws and regulations is required.
- Previous experience with asset recovery software and technology.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer – 7 to 8 hours per day.

- General office environment: works generally at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels.
