Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher skilled in working with students across various grade levels, from early childhood through high school. This contract position is located in Concord, CA, offering experience in a dynamic school environment focused on providing inclusive and supportive education to diverse learners.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Experience teaching Special Education students across multiple grade levels, including Pre-K, Kindergarten, elementary (grades 1-5), middle school (grades 6-8), and high school (grades 9-12)
  • Strong knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education laws
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs
  • Background in teaching Math and integrating core subjects effectively for special education students
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and students
  • Patience, creativity, and commitment to student success

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the learning goals of Special Education students
