This part-time physical therapist opportunity provides a chance to support multiple schools within a dynamic educational setting in Clermont, FL. Overseeing a caseload of approximately 100 students across various elementary and charter schools, the role offers the flexibility to design your own schedule while delivering essential physical therapy services in a supportive district environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy services to students in multiple schools, addressing individual needs and supporting their educational goals
  • Collaborate with school teams to design and implement therapy plans that promote student participation and success
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with district protocols
  • Participate in the districts onboarding and credentialing process, including required procedural agreements and timesheet management
  • Adapt caseload and schedule as needed, working alongside another physical therapist for each school to ensure comprehensive support

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid professional physical therapy license
  • School-based physical therapy experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to manage caseloads involving a diverse range of elementary-aged students
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to navigate multiple school settings effectively
  • Willingness to engage in district-led onboarding and comply with credentialing requirements

Location:

  • Multiple school sites in Clermont, FL area, including Umatilla Elementary, Spring Creek Charter, and others within the Lake County district

Position Details:

  • Part-time, 2 to 3 days per week, approximately 8.5 hours per day (including unpaid break)
  • Contract position extending through May 29, 2026
  • Flexibility to create a personalized schedule with potential shifts as needed

Compensation Range:

  • $42 to $54 per hour based on years of school-related experience
