A specialized role is available for a qualified Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist in Winston-Salem, NC. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering high-quality imaging and procedural support in a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center with a teaching environment. The position requires a skilled IR Tech experienced in both neuro and body interventional radiology and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience specifically in Interventional Radiology (IR) Body and IR Neuro at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Valid BLS certification required; ARRT-R or RCIS certification preferred.
- Proficient in scrubbing and assisting in IR procedures; circulating and operating imaging equipment efficiently.
- Comfortable working with new grads and providing preceptorship as needed.
- Experience with Siemens, GE, Philips imaging systems, and GE ultrasound units advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Support interventional procedures involving stroke treatment, cancer, tumor embolization, thrombectomy, sclerotherapy, biopsies, and advanced neurointerventional cases.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, and body-focused providers.
- Manage equipment operation and supply logistics ensuring smooth, efficient procedure flow.
- Participate in call schedules including weekend and holiday coverage as required.
Schedule & Call
- Shift options include: 3x 12-hour shifts, 4x 10-hour shifts, or 5x 8-hour shifts (varied start times from 8:00 AM).
- Approximately 3-4 call days per month; weekend call every 5th to 6th weekend.
- Holiday coverage expected about 75% when scheduled.
