Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neuro Stepdown / Progressive Care to provide high-quality care for patients transitioning from intensive neurological care. The ideal candidate will have strong neuro assessment skills and the ability to manage complex patient conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to neurological stepdown patients
• Perform detailed neurological assessments and monitor for changes in condition
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry monitoring
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Respond promptly to neurological and medical emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Patient Population

• Adult Neuro Stepdown / Progressive Care patients

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent Neuro Stepdown experience
• Minimum 18 months of permanent RN experience in specialty prior to travel assignments
• Active RN License (Ohio or Compact State)
• BLS (AHA or equivalent) – Required
• ACLS – Required
• NIHSS Certification – Required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in PCU / Progressive Care settings
