SUMMARY:
Position: Secretary (Central Office)
Description: Provides administrative/clerical support for Central Office in the areas of answering
phones, correspondence, public relations, information dissemination, and in support of the
Communications & Outreach Department
Reports to: Communications & Outreach Director

Base Pay: $18.22 per hour
- Degree Stipend:
- Associate Degree or 60+ College Credit Hours: +$1/hour
- Bachelors Degree: +$2/hour
- Masters Degree: +$3/hour
- Experience Stipend: +$0.50/hour for each year of full-time work experience at a K12 school other than Frontier Schools (up to 3 years maximum)

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Bilingual Spanish reading and writing
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a secretary is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains confidenality regarding staff and school related issues. Communicates with other building
administrators and staff per Communications & Outreach Director directive. Coordinates office
operations. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers the most complex issues to higher levels.
Translate school related documents as needed.
Provides assistance to Central Office staff.
Performs the usual office rounes and pracces associated with a busy, producve and smoothly run
office.
Use effecve, posive interpersonal communicaon skills.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate effecvely in both wrien and oral forms with all levels of management, both
internal and external to the district.
Ability to establish and maintain effecve working relaonships both internal and external to the
district.
Ability to organize and assist Communications & Outreach Department with district wide and campus
events.
Ability to use computer; including software, database used by the district, calculator, copy machine
and telephone.
Ability to analyze data.
Ability to use effecve interview techniques, effecve public speaking skills, and problemsolving skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light Work: may require occasional light liing.
Nights and weekend acvies might be occasionally required.
Posion is in office seng and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one locaon.
Moderate travel is required.
