Overview:
ProCare Therapy is working with a school district in Illinois and seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. We are committed to providing every student with the support and instruction they need to succeed. The ideal candidate is a collaborative educator who thrives in a student-centered environment and has a strong passion for working with learners who have diverse needs.
Responsibilities Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education

Valid Illinois Teaching Certificate (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement (LBS-1)

Knowledge of best practices in instruction, assessment, and behavior management

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work effectively in a team-based setting
Preferred Experience:
-
Experience working with students in elementary and middle school (caseload will be discussed on interview)

Familiarity with IEP software systems

Knowledge of co-teaching models and inclusive practices
