We are seeking an experienced and reliable Assembly Technician/Nickel Plater to join our team. The ideal candidate is task-oriented, introspective, and comfortable with repetitive tasks in an environment with minimal interruptions. You should have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently, and experience in assembly or manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed instructions to assemble components using hand and power tools
- Prepare work by studying parts lists and gathering necessary materials
- Ensure accurate assembly of all parts and components
- Identify and report any defective parts or discrepancies
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform quality checks on components and finished products
- Operate assembly machines such as drill presses and grinders
- Working around/with chemicals in the plating process - Barrel and Rack plating
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Assist in other areas of production as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedure manuals
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Basic math skills for measurements and simple calculations
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and time-management skills, be able to work both independently and in a team setting, and maintain focus on detailed, repetitive tasks. Mechanical or construction experience is beneficial for this role.
