We are seeking to hire an experienced Remodeling Construction Estimator / Drafter!

We are located in Sherwood, WI.

This position will work closely with the customer, Designer, Project Managers, skilled trades, and vendors. Our projects range from small cosmetic updates to additions and full interior remodels. There is quite a bit of variety in the type and scale of job that we bid.

Job Requirements:

• Construction estimating: 5 years (Required)
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Proficient in using estimating software and tools
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Familiarity with construction contracts and legal requirements
• Familiarity with Wisconsin building codes
• Strong negotiation skills when working with subcontractors and suppliers
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively

Job Duties:

• Meet with customers on-site to understand scope of work obtain specifications and measurements
• Assist customer with design, layout, and scope of work
• Create preliminary drawings to share with customer with the proposed estimate
• Conduct site visits, as needed, to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
• Always represent the company with professionalism
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors, and vendors to obtain quotes and pricing information
• Analyze project scope and identify potential risks or challenges
• Create comprehensive cost breakdowns and itemized lists of materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project
• Meet with customers to discuss and choose final design elements
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
• Present estimates to clients and explain the basis of the estimate
• Revise estimates as necessary based on client selections or changes in scope
• Create buildable drawings to match the final estimate
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, including all supporting documentation and necessary correspondence with customers, subcontractors, and vendors

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
