Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in school-based services, located in Wilkes Barre, PA. This position focuses on providing speech and language evaluations and support within an elementary school setting. The assignment runs from March 1, 2026, through June 5, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct approximately 130 speech and language evaluations for early childhood students aged 4 to 5 years old.
- Provide direct therapy and support tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individual education program (IEP) development.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) with a license valid for school-based practice.
- Experience working with early childhood populations in an educational environment.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones and disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
- Ability to manage a high caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently.
