Job Description
One of our federal clients seeks two contractors to support the payroll office during a high-volume transition period. These positions will provide essential payroll data entry, research, and administrative support to ensure accurate and timely processing of personnel actions. Successful candidates will join a fast-paced, detail-oriented team that plays a critical role in supporting the payroll and benefits functions of the client.
Key Responsibilities

Review and process high volumes of personnel paperwork, including New Hire, Salary Adjustments, and Terminations.

Enter personnel actions into the Lawson Payroll System with accuracy and timeliness.

Process monthly student loan paperwork, tax changes (W-4), and address/name updates.

Set up and update employee health and life insurance deductions in Lawson.

Work closely with payroll counseling staff to research, validate, and resolve paperwork discrepancies.

Research and resolve payroll issues following payroll cycles.

Sort, file, and maintain large volumes of payroll and benefits documentation.

Respond to a high volume of calls and documentation inquiries, providing professional customer service support.
Requirements

High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Minimum of one (1) year of payroll processing experience (Lawson Payroll System experience strongly preferred).

At least two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook required).

Demonstrated accuracy in high-volume data entry and customer service environments.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work with confidential information.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
