A Registered Nurse with specialized experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care is needed for a contract position located in Pelham, AL. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide expert nursing care within a highly specialized surgical environment. Candidates with a minimum of one year of CVOR experience are encouraged to apply. This contract position includes day shifts and involves call responsibilities every other day and weekend.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 nursing care to adult patients in the CVOR setting.
- Assist with surgical procedures by scrubbing and circulating when required.
- Maintain strict adherence to dress code policy, wearing navy blue scrubs and low-linting attire.
- Utilize EMR systems, specifically Cerner SurgiNet, for documentation.
- Participate in call rotation every other day and weekend to provide continuous patient support.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license active and in good standing.
- Minimum one year of recent CVOR nursing experience.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications from AHA.
- Ability to scrub and circulate during surgical procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with Cerner SurgiNet EMR preferred.
- Professional appearance and adherence to dress code policies.
Schedule:
- Day shift from 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Call required every other day and weekend (call only on weekends).
