Position Overview
Gallo Legal Services is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to support the accuracy and integrity of our accounts receivable function. This role is responsible for applying payments correctly, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring customer accounts reflect accurate balances.
This is an execution-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys structured, repetitive work and takes pride in accuracy and follow-through.
What You’ll Do
- Apply customer payments accurately and timely to appropriate accounts
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, short pays, overpayments, and discrepancies
- Reconcile remittance details and payment records
- Maintain clean and audit-ready AR balances
- Partner with Billing and AR teams to resolve account questions
- Document payment activity and maintain accurate records
- Support month-end close activities related to cash application
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or billing support
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, accuracy-driven work
- Ability to research and resolve discrepancies independently
- Organized, dependable, and process-oriented
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in professional services or legal environments is a plus
