Job Description

The Chemical Blender is responsible for accurately measuring, mixing, and blending raw materials to produce chemical products according to precise formulations and company standards. This role requires a strong understanding of chemical handling procedures, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to follow detailed batch instructions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing or chemical production environment, with a strong focus on quality control and efficiency.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Accurately pump, pour, and measure chemicals into blend equipment according to detailed manufacturing instructions and batch specifications.
  • Operate various production equipment, including mixing blades, pumps, and blending machinery, ensuring safe and efficient processing.
  • Safely operate a forklift to transport materials within the warehouse and production areas, following all safety and handling procedures.
  • Strictly adhere to company safety protocols and industry regulations related to chemical handling and workplace safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience handling and blending chemicals.
  • Forklift proficiency and current certification preferred.
  • Must be able to read and understand blending instructions.
  • Must be able to read and understand chemical Safety Data Sheets.
  • Disciplined, organized and flexible.
  • Able to work well in a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods of time of up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and crouching to handle materials and operate equipment.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, and measuring chemicals accurately.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at elevated heights if needed.
  • Tolerance for working in environments with strong odors, chemicals, and varying temperatures (hot or cold).
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, respirators, and protective clothing.
  • Good vision (with or without correction) and hearing to monitor equipment and read instructions.
