As a certified nursing assistant, you will have the rewarding opportunity to act as the primary caregiver to our patients with varied levels of mobility who require daily assistance and help them with getting dressed, eating daily meals, changing bedpans, and going to the restroom. $18.50 - $23 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Give patient support with basic care daily living activities bathing, getting dressed, going to the restroom, eating regular meals, and taking proper medication dosages
- Meet patients upon arrival and precisely catalogue measurements of the patient's vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen level
- Communicate information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care
- Work with patients on regular exercise as needed to maintain their mobility level and physical health
- Sanitize and clean patient’s room by rotating sheets, bedpans, and performing general room cleaning
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and nurses to ensure positive relationships are maintained
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required for this position
- Should have strong physical stamina to reposition and lift patients from beds to examination tables for wheelchairs and move medical equipment
- Completed the state-approved CNA training program and received CNA certification from a medical facility, vocational school, or community college
- Proficient computer skills and experience using computer database to ensure patient history is accurately recorded
