Learning and Development Solutions Architect
Job Description
Job DescriptionDescriptionAt Verus, learning drives everything we do — it fuels performance, sparks innovation, and raises the bar across our Mortgage Capital business.
As our Learning and Development Solutions Architect, you’ll turn that vision into action — creating original Verus learning content that inspires growth, builds expertise, and delivers a best-in-class learning experience.
You’ll design, build, and bring to life learning solutions that make a real impact — from digital courses and microlearning to live, immersive sessions. You’ll also shape the systems and templates that keep our programs consistent, efficient, and high-quality.
This role is perfect for a curious, creative thinker who enjoys blending art and science — design and strategy, innovation and structure. You’ll partner with experts and leaders to turn complex financial topics into clear, engaging, and practical learning experiences that help teams perform with confidence.
If you’re ready to build modern, scalable learning that truly moves people — and want to help define the future of learning at a company driving excellence in mortgage and capital markets — we want you on our team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and develop engaging Verus learning content using AI tools, multimedia software, and digital platforms — delivered in multiple formats.
- Transform complex financial and mortgage capital concepts into simple, meaningful, and actionable learning.
- Build and maintain templates, tools, and standards to ensure consistency and quality across all learning programs.
- Partner with subject matter experts, leaders, and facilitators to identify learning needs, align content to business goals, and ensure accuracy.
- Design complete learning journeys that combine digital and live experiences for maximum impact.
- Create polished, interactive, and visually engaging materials using modern instructional design tools.
- Lead or co-lead live sessions that build skills, share knowledge, and strengthen professional development.
- Use data, feedback, and performance results to measure success and continuously improve learning programs.
- Stay up to date on learning trends, technologies, and innovations — bringing fresh ideas into Verus’s learning ecosystem.
- Promote a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning in everything you do.
- Offer insights and recommendations to improve learning outcomes and enhance program effectiveness.
- Support other Learning & Development initiatives as needed.
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or Learning Experience Design (financial services, mortgage, or capital markets preferred).
- Strong experience designing and developing content across multiple formats and learning styles.
- Deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and performance consulting.
- Skilled in tools like Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, or similar platforms.
- Proven ability to simplify complex topics and turn them into clear, engaging, and visually appealing learning.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
- Strong collaborator — able to balance creative ideas with business needs.
- Excellent communicator — visual, written, and verbal — with a knack for storytelling and simplifying information.
- Familiar with learning management systems (LMS), digital delivery, and measuring learning effectiveness with data.
- Naturally curious and innovative — always looking for better ways to create impactful learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Communications, or related field (advanced degree or certification like ATD, CPTD preferred).
