Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with Med Surg float experience for a critical access hospital assignment in Minnesota requiring current or pending MN RN licensure.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in the Emergency Department with required floating to Med Surg across three campuses
- Flexible day and night shifts available, working 3x12 hour shifts with start times of 0700 or 1900
- Weekend work is required, averaging 6 weekends per 13-week contract
- Patient ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:6 on nights
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting is completed using Epic EMR
- Must be willing to float to multiple campuses within the health system
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Must follow designated scrub color for RNs (black)
- Holiday coverage is required as needed
- Vaccination exemptions may be considered with proper documentation
- Fingerprinting in person in MN is required the Monday prior to your start and costs are the responsibility of the traveler
- Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
- Perm staff must have been separated for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
- RTO is limited to 10 days per assignment with no time off allowed within the first week
- Free parking is available at the main lot

- Active MN RN license or proof of application (MN is not a Compact state)
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience and at least 1 year of Med Surg experience required
- Experience with general emergency care for both adults and pediatrics is required
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is required
- OB experience preferred
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
