Bilingual Milieu Coordinator - Caminos Program

The Caminos Program at Cunningham Children's Home supports children who have recently migrated to the United States, helping them work toward family reunification, education goals, and legal immigration cases. Our team provides a safe, therapeutic living environment and culturally sensitive programming tailored to each youth's needs. We are currently seeking a dedicated Bilingual Milieu Coordinator to lead our residential team and ensure a high-quality, trauma-informed environment.

As a Bilingual Milieu Coordinator, you will

  • Supervise and guide direct care counselors to provide trauma-informed services
  • Model, coach, and motivate staff to maintain a therapeutic milieu
  • Lead and train team members while working closely with medical providers and other care partners
  • Ensure a safe and supportive community for youth from diverse backgrounds


The Bilingual Milieu Coordinator serves as a key leader in promoting consistency, structure, and a nurturing environment for youth. This role provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bilingual Milieu Coordinator to make a meaningful impact on both youth and staff.

Requirements for the Bilingual Milieu Coordinator

  • Bachelor's degree (Human Services preferred)
  • 3+ years of child welfare and/or social service experience
  • 1+ year of management or supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Valid Illinois driver's license, clean driving record (past 3 years), and proof of auto insurance
  • At least 21 years old
  • Ability to use a personal vehicle for work purposes


Extensive training will be provided. Prospective employees must pass a pre-employment background check and physical.
