The Security Cooperation and Engagement Support Specialist provides analytical, administrative, and coordination support to Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) G-3/5/7 in support of Army Security Cooperation (SC), partner engagement, and senior leader engagement activities. The role supports bilateral and multinational engagements, conferences, exercises, and strategic communications involving U.S. allies and partner nations. This position operates in a high-tempo headquarters environment and requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact professionally with senior military and civilian leaders.
Key Responsibilities
· Support Army Security Cooperation and partner engagement activities, including Army Staff Talks (AST), multinational programs, and senior leader engagements
· Draft, edit, and compile talking points, country profiles, biographies, read-ahead materials, engagement summaries, and briefing slides
· Prepare written summaries, executive summaries, and after-action reports following meetings, engagements, and events
· Provide administrative and logistical coordination for conferences, meetings, and engagements, including scheduling, facilities, transportation, and event support
· Coordinate and manage meetings, working groups, and VTCs; maintain calendars and engagement schedules
· Review, process, and track Defense Travel System (DTS) requests and related travel documentation
· Escort visitors and facilitate access to the Pentagon or other DoD facilities as required
· Maintain and update SharePoint sites, engagement trackers, databases, and task management tools
· Represent HQDA G-3/5/7 equities in meetings, OPTs, and working groups as directed
· Draft, review, and staff official memorandums, EXORDs, responses to RFIs, and other staff actions
· Conduct research and analysis to support security cooperation assessments, engagement planning, and program reporting
· Monitor regional current events, partner-nation developments, and relevant DoD and Army policy updates
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in international Affairs, Security Studies, Political Science, Regional Studies, or a related field
· 3–5 years of relevant experience in security cooperation, international engagement, policy support, or headquarters-level operations
· Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, executive-level written products
· Experience providing administrative and analytical support in a DoD or federal headquarters environment
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
· Professional judgment and discretion when supporting senior leaders and sensitive engagements
· Active SECRET security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting Army Staff, Joint Staff, OSD, Combatant Commands, or ASCCs
· Familiarity with Army Security Cooperation, multinational military engagement, or international affairs programs
· Experience with DTS, conference planning, or senior leader engagement support
· Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with Access, Visio, or Project is a plus
· Prior CONUS and/or OCONUS engagement or travel support experience
