Veterinary Triage Technician

As a Triage Nurse, youll play a critical role in assessing patients as they arrive, prioritizing care based on urgency, and supporting our veterinarians in providing timely, compassionate service. Youll handle in-person triage, offering guidance and reassurance to concerned pet parents while ensuring that emergencies are quickly identified and addressed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial patient assessments and determine the urgency of each case
- Provide clear communication and guidance to clients in the clinic
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to coordinate patient care and workflow
- Support emergency and urgent care cases with efficiency and empathy
- Maintain accurate triage records and assist with patient documentation
Requirements:
- Certified Veterinary Technician/Nurse (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 12 years in a clinical veterinary setting, ER/triage preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- A calm, compassionate approach to animals and client care
