Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role offers an opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to contribute in an acute and inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting. The position involves providing therapy services to patients in a hospital environment, supporting their recovery and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation units.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct assessments and document patient progress accurately using electronic charting systems.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and ensure patient safety at all times.
  • Participate in floating assignments between acute and inpatient rehabilitation areas as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
  • Ability to work a 5-day, 8-hour schedule (08:00 to 16:30).
  • Willingness to work one weekend per month with flexible weekday time off to avoid overtime.
  • No on-call or holiday requirements.
  • Ability to float between acute care and inpatient rehabilitation floors.
  • Pending state license holders are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no local applicants).

Schedule and Contract Type:

  • Contract position
  • 40 guaranteed hours per week
  • Day shifts, Monday through Friday, with one weekend required monthly
