Position Summary
Join us as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, where you’ll perform high-quality diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures in accordance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role includes performing general and cardiac nuclear medicine studies as well as PET scanning, utilizing state-of-the-art imaging technology and working closely with an expert radiology team.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to providing the highest level of patient care while contributing to an efficient and collaborative imaging department.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
- Operate nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports as required for patient care and compliance.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate exam results.
- Monitor patients during imaging for safety, comfort, and potential adverse reactions.
- Participate in radiation safety and quality assurance activities to maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Assist in maintaining department inventory and calibration of nuclear medicine equipment.
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program
- Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
OR
Certified as a Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
Schedule & Work Environment
- Variable shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
- Participation in on-call rotation for weekends and holidays
