Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This leadership role oversees pharmacy compliance and quality assurance for a rapidly growing dermatology pharmacy serving 17 states. The position is based primarily onsite in Franklin, TN, with quarterly travel to a secondary pharmacy location in Texas. This direct hire opportunity supports a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving patient care through innovative and compliant pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead readiness initiatives for URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP 795/800, DEA, and state board compliance requirements
- Develop scalable standard operating procedures (SOPs), compliance workflows, tracking systems, and documentation processes
- Conduct mock audits to identify operational gaps and strengthen audit preparedness
- Maintain multi-state licensure tracking and enforce operational compliance standards
- Design and deliver compliance training programs for pharmacy staff
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to promote operational accountability and quality assurance across multiple locations
- Drive consistency and structure to support sustained growth and regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Pharmacist license required; candidates with diverse backgrounds considered
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharmacy compliance, accreditation, regulatory oversight, or quality assurance preferred
- Strong knowledge of URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP 795/800, DEA, and state board regulations highly desired
- Proven ability to build systems, improve processes, and enforce accountability
- Excellent organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable to fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Proficient with compliance systems, spreadsheets, learning management systems, and reporting toolsScheduling & Location:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM with no weekends or on-call shifts
- Primarily onsite in Franklin, TN with limited remote flexibility after onboarding
- Quarterly travel to Abilene, TX required
