We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing dental team. Our practice is committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive, collaborative environment where hygiene is a valued part of the clinical team.
This role is ideal for a hygienist who enjoys building relationships with patients, providing preventative care, and educating patients on long-term oral health.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing
- Conduct periodontal charting and provide detailed periodontal treatment such as root planing and curettage
- Take high-quality digital dental radiographs
- Perform patient assessments, including reviewing medical history, vital signs, and oral examinations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative care
- Apply topical fluoride, sealants, and other preventative treatments
- Assist the dentist with chairside procedures when needed
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA and office protocols
- Follow strict infection control and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in [State]
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of periodontal care and preventative dentistry
- Ability to take and interpret digital dental X-rays
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient care
- Experience with dental software and electronic health records preferred
