Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts (6:30am–7:00pm)
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week (option to request 48 hours)
  • Required to work three weekends per six-week schedule and every other holiday
  • Bi-weekly orientation

Desired Experience and Certifications:

  • Active, current compact RN license required
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum two years’ recent experience in Cardiac/Tele (Level II trauma preferred)
  • At least one prior travel assignment
  • Recent EPIC charting experience and Tele/12-lead EKG proficiency
  • Proven critical care skills, strong assessment, and capacity to thrive in a changing environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Care for high-acuity tele/med-surg cardiac and renal patients (Afib, flutter, CHF, sepsis, post-ablation, dialysis)
  • Initiate and titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, heparin, etc.), interpret EKGs, manage nephrostomy tubes, chest tubes/indwelling drains
  • Competently float within your skill set to nearby campuses as needed
  • Occasionally precept students or new hires in a teaching hospital environment
