We’re seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to support the design, analysis, and documentation of space vehicle components and subsystems. This hands-on role is ideal for upper-level undergraduate or graduate students in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering who are passionate about solving complex mechanical challenges in space systems.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and iterate 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings.

Assist in design reviews, trade studies, and prototyping efforts.

Support tolerance analysis, material selection, and basic structural analysis.

Collaborate with systems engineers and cross-functional design teams.

Maintain design documentation and interface requirements.

Contribute to design improvements and integration of hardware into larger systems.
Preferred Qualifications

Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, or similar).

Familiarity with mechanical design fundamentals (fastening, structures, mechanisms).

Detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork skills.

U.S. Citizenship is required.
