Job DescriptionRegistered Respiratory Therapist - Evening and Night Shifts Overview:

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will deliver direct respiratory care to patients in accordance with physician directives, evaluate the effectiveness of therapies, and act as a clinical resource for healthcare professionals. This position requires a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license and involves working evening, night, holiday, and weekend shifts, particularly in critical care environments. Job Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in all areas of respiratory therapy, adhering to physician orders. Consult with physicians on the effectiveness of treatments and serve as a knowledgeable resource for respiratory care. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of a CoArc accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • Licensure: Must meet state licensure standards and possess a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
  • Certifications: Must hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). PALS certification is required for those working in the Emergency Room.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs, as well as pinching up to 10 lbs, with minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Equipment: Proficient in using all relevant respiratory care equipment.
  • Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in critical care settings is preferred.
