Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
The Maintenance Engineer will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance to clean, repair, and maintain production equipment across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing electrical controls, supporting production operations, and ensuring equipment reliability in a hands-on, industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean, repair, and maintain production equipment throughout the primary facility and at additional company facilities as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and related systems on production and fabrication equipment.
- Perform PLC, HMI, and VFD troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Provide phone support for remote troubleshooting of equipment problems at other locations.
- Fabricate and wire control panels according to electrical drawings and specifications.
- Install, route, and maintain conduit and associated electrical components.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in production equipment.
- Work on CNC equipment to diagnose issues and perform required maintenance and repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to guide troubleshooting, installation, and repair work.
- Use common hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform maintenance tasks.
- Maintain production equipment in various manufacturing environments to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.
- Travel overnight on occasion to support maintenance needs at other company facilities.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair of electrical controls.
- Ability to perform PLC troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve control system issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot HMI and VFD systems in an industrial setting.
- Experience with control panel fabrication and wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Mechanical aptitude to diagnose and repair mechanical components of production equipment.
- Ability to work on CNC equipment, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Proficient use of common hand and power tools in a maintenance environment.
- Ability to travel overnight on occasion to support remote facilities.
- Capability to work effectively in a non–temperature-controlled manufacturing and fabrication environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience maintaining production equipment in various manufacturing environments.
- Experience as a maintenance technician or maintenance electrician in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and their application in production machinery.
- Familiarity with conduit installation and industrial electrical standards.
- Comfort providing phone-based technical support for remote troubleshooting.
- Willingness to take on higher-level responsibilities involving advanced PLC, HMI, and VFD work as needed.

Work Environment
This role is based in a non–temperature-controlled manufacturing and fabrication environment, working directly on production equipment and industrial machinery. You will use common hand and power tools, work with electrical panels, conduit, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and CNC equipment. The position operates on a first-shift schedule and may occasionally require overnight travel to other company facilities to support maintenance needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
