Contemporaries, a trusted government contracting firm, is proud to partner with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to recruit a highly organized, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant III for a long-term government contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a bilingual professional fluent in both English and Spanish who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment and enjoys providing exceptional administrative and customer support. This is full-time, onsite position on the main campus of the National Institutes of Health.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple phone lines, connect callers with appropriate staff, and respond to a high volume of multi-lingual (English/Spanish) inquiries via phone and computer
- Coordinate and manage complex scheduling and calendars, including setting appointments for multiple interpreters and verifying appointment details with requestors
- Triage language service requests by assessing urgency, negotiating timelines when needed, creating order tickets, and assigning available interpreter staff
- Advise customers on alternative or remote interpretation options when in-person interpreters are unavailable
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports tracking contracted language service hours, ensuring exceptional attention to detail in all documentation
- Provide additional administrative and clerical support, including maintaining filing systems, scanning documents, and supporting office operations as needed
Candidate Profile
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written) – required
- Proven experience in an administrative, office management, or high-volume support role
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy
- Highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a structured environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to transcribe, edit, and review documents with precision
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and motivated to support shared goals
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or high school diploma with 4+ years of related experience
